The meeting was called to order by President Marguerite Bennett at 12:50 pm after a delightful potluck with good conversations with neighbors and friends.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
Dot Vandaveer reported that the Project Fund has a balance of $1,520.76.
President Marguerite Bennett reported that the Town of Friday Harbor has been sent a check for $250.00 to help with the costs of the Town’s hanging baskets.
The Fair Booklet may be viewed on-line. It is too late to start the Fair Booklet project for this year.

Fiona Norris reported on the upcoming Garden Tour on June 14, 2014. Please sign up to help. There are three gardens this year. The preview tour will be on June 12th. The Garden Tour banner will be displayed on the fence at Browne’s downtown site.
Fiona Norris mentioned that many exhibitors bring in their items for the San Juan County Fair between 4:00 and 6:00 on Tuesday, intake day. Volunteers are needed to cover that time.
Vonnie Harold reported on 4 possible field trips for next year including Peace Arch Park, Bellevue Arboreteum, and Christensons and La Conner Flats for tea.
Teresa Hill reported on a possible garden tour of the Whatcom Horticultural Society on July 12, 2014. Her daughter is willing to drive a van rented from Enterpise Car Rental in Anacortes. Approx. cost of $45.00 to include tour and lunch, but not the ferry fare. Last minute details need to be worked out.
President Marguerite Bennett mentioned fundraising programs. People have been well pleased with the Flower Power bulbs and program. The bulbs are prepackaged and sent to individuals and do not need any extra work from our members. Marguerite will gather more information about selling Christmas Amaryllis.
Marguerite Bennett reported that FH Marketplace has tomato plants on sale for 79 cents and they have good varieties for our area like “Sungold.” It is top notch.
1:15 We had our white elephant exchange. Theresa brought a wonderful large interesting gourd!
